What Overnight Postpartum Doula Care Includes
Overnight Postpartum Doula Care Schedule
Every night is a little different depending on your baby’s needs, but here is a general example of how overnight postpartum doula care works in your home:
10:00 PM – Arrival and Setup
-
I arrive at your home and review your baby’s current routine, feeding preferences, and any specific needs so your overnight care is fully personalized.

10:30 PM – Feeding and Settling Baby
-
I assist with breastfeeding by bringing baby to you and handling pump parts and cleanup, or I provide full bottle feeding support so you can continue resting. After feeding, I gently settle your baby back to sleep.

1:30 AM – Overnight Feeding and Support
-
I continue with overnight newborn care, including feedings, diaper changes, and soothing, always following your baby’s cues.

4:30 AM – Early Morning Care
-
I support the final feeding and help your baby settle into a longer stretch of sleep while maintaining a calm environment

6:00 AM – End of Shift and Update
-
Before I leave, I provide a summary of the night so you feel informed and supported heading into your day.

What Parents Say
Brenda was fabulous! She gave us direction and support while also validating our gut instincts as new first-time parents. She brought such peace of mind and lifted a tremendous amount of the mental load when she was with us. Brenda listened carefully to our questions and concerns and always offered thoughtful resources and guidance. Having her support during those early weeks made us feel calmer and more confident as new parents.
Nikki M
It’s hard to leave your newborn in someone else’s hands, but I would do it again and again with Brenda. She cared for my newborn overnight after an exhausting five-day hospital stay so both my husband and I could finally get much needed sleep. She treated my baby as if he were her own, which reassured me and helped me relax enough to fall asleep. Knowing my baby was in such caring and capable hands made those early nights so much easier.
Brooke J
Brenda was an absolutely wonderful postpartum doula. It was such a relief to have an extra set of hands around. She washed pump parts, straightened up my downstairs, and played with our toddler so I could get some one-on-one time with my newborn. She snuggled the baby so I could nap or shower.
Beyond the practical help, Brenda brought a calm and reassuring presence into our home. She is soft-spoken, kind, and never judgmental about the chaos that comes with a new baby. Having her there made our early weeks feel more manageable and supported.
